Merchant Agreement

For a natural or legal person to collect payments using Khipu, they must sign the mandate requesting Khipu to perform collection tasks on their behalf. This mandate is signed by adhesion.

The contract is signed electronically on the website through an “Accept” button, and to validate the identity of the signer, we ensure that you have paid using a bank account with your identification details beforehand.

It is very simple; to sign it, you must have a user set up in Khipu and choose any of the options that allow you to create a payment account. The system will verify if the contract is signed and will ask you to sign it if necessary.

Although the process is simple, it has the drawback that there is no negotiation of the contract. Just as you understand that for us it is impossible to negotiate different contracts for each client for a service like this, we understand that it is important for the contract to be clear and state everything relevant to you. We have worked inspired by that idea, but if you think there is something important that we should explain better, we would love to know what it is; please contact us through the “Support and Suggestions” option at the bottom of our portal's webpage.

A adhesion contract is a type of contract whose clauses are drafted by only one of the parties (in our case, Khipu), with which the other party is only limited to accept or reject the contract in its entirety. It sounds harsh and unfair, but the law compensates those who accept an adhesion contract by interpreting in their favor everything that is not clear and explicitly stated in the contract. So, for us, it is also tough.

The idea is to never have to refer to the contract. We work to ensure that our service is pleasing to all our clients.
